My Story
A year before the rest of the world was stuck inside, I was. In the summer of 2019, I had Mono, and was either too contagious or too tired to do much for many months, so I picked up my dads old Taylor Big Baby and set about learning to play the guitar.
Immediately I was mostly interested in self expression through songwriting. I began writing poetry with the intention of making my own music. Inspired by Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and Cat Stevens most of the stuff I wrote at that time was mediocre at best, but at some point someone found some value in my poems.

My poem 1,012,022 was selected as one of the five best pieces of original writing created by A member of the historic Delta Psi arts and Literature Fraternity in 2022.

I began experimenting with Beat Making, and hosting a radio show on the local freeform station WXYC. Exploring the media library at this station, and the challange of creating 3 unique hours of freeform programing every week requires a lot of listening. I rediscovered the joy of dance, and became enamored with the endless possibilities of creating and reshaping sounds.
I became frustrated with an inability to turn poems into passable songs, and began to search for alternate mediums to express myself. Through collaboration with a close friend, I discovered electronic music.

Shaping messy and broken down sounds was the best the joy of digital composition. I took on the Moniker "Litle Spewn" to represent my exploration of intimacy through the rough edges of sound.
Head First Into Production

A Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) is my happy space. I followed this passion to my first official production job for Voice of America (VOA). I spent a summer as an intern for the Border Crossings Music program. I conducted interviews with artists, and produced all of the asynchronous segments for the show.
Lately, I have branched out to new creative and collaborative production projects. I worked with a band from my town as an engineer and producer on their upcoming release, and in the coming months I will be doing sound design for a play on the UNC Chapel Hill Campus.
